Depends on what your goals/job you're playing/the fight is. If you're chasing very high ranks then you should probably look for a dedicated group/server for it. If your job isn't too group-reliant and/or your target isn't too lofty though, it's fine to. Enough good runs with gear will eventually spit out something so just pressing buttons more will probably get you there eventually.
