working in ports in general is just frustrating because the ships have priority over absolutely everything. I did a wind project where the tower sections were being shipped to Duluth and there were times I waited over a week to go into the slip and load while the piece was sitting there, because the crawler cranes on the slip weren’t allowed to do anything at all that wasn’t relevant to loading or unloading boats. I had a double schnabel which loads itself, all I needed was 15 minutes for them to set it out somewhere I had room to get to both ends and then unbolt the feet which were 4 flange bolts on each end.
