On a scale of 1-10? Probably a 3. No Dem State wants POTUS to invoke the Insurrection Act but a Level-4 Chimpout nationwide would be grounds for it. Grocery stores sometimes see looting during protests but usually it's minimal. This time, food is the direct target. The result will be food deserts. Stores can't afford to lose their whole stock in one swoop overnight AND have the place completely destroyed at the same time. A single "raid" that strips shelves can kill a grocery store overnight.

People will be pissed. And they'll demand police action. Unfortunately, Dem cities have encouraged shoplifting and theft to such a degree that they'll have to do a complete flip (which they won't do) or make a show of attempting to stop it (which potentially keeps it at a level 3 chimpout). That said, if any foreign actors work in tandem to exacerbate the sitaution, it could easily slip into a Level 4, in which case? Dems are finished. The poor rural folks that use EBT are already pissed at Dems. The urbanites who rely on government will be mad at Trump (at first) but when they notice that it's the Dems that have to sign Yea or Nay, they'll flip.

The worst nightmare of the Dems is for all the EBT queens to actually read the news and see who's voting against turning the spigot back on.

The irony, that the longtime pets of the left will make such a mess, that the lefties will lose everything in one fell swoop. Insurrection Act is the "I win" button that Trump has been looking for and a nationwide chimpout over gibs gets him that.
