I've only played the Gameboy Color game and Pirate's Curse. The GBC game is charming and very ambitious for a game on its platform. It's "alright." I really didn't like the overworld traveling between areas and not knowing where I'm supposed to go, but the dungeons are great. I really liked Pirate's Curse. It's equally charming and the gameplay is a lot better, the camera is much further away from the character, it's quicker, and the pirate equipment you get are more interesting than the transformations in the first game. It's great all the way through with lots of member-berries for people who played the GBC game. Hearing this made me :O-face https://youtu.be/dKpTgtX_m5U
