Other than Firebug I haven't leveled other classes so far that I really played much HoE, so yes I have used the Vulkan there.
This is what I'm using on hard for Sharpshooter though. The ammo makes enemies stumble and as bonus ability I have additional stumble power. Combined with the skill that makes enemies take more damage when they suffer from an affliction makes this really useful on hard at least. I will have to see how it fares on HoE
