For removing a fundamental part of old Monster Hunter - prep. And no I don't mean "IT'S LIKE I'M LE HUNTING THE MONSTER XD!!" I mean inventory space was severally limited and it gave the gameplay a very "battle of attrition" aspect to it. You had limited space, crafting wasn't guaranteed without Combo Books, you had to actually consider what you brought. World just made it so none of that matters and you go to camp to refill anything. Easiest way to show this is how traps behave.

Old gen
>traps took forever to deploy and if you fucked up you had to wait for it to explode to use another of the same type of trap

World
>traps deploy quickly, and if you fuck up you can manually destroy the trap to quickly craft another and deploy it again

Wilds
>traps deploy quickly and if you fuck up you can simply pick up the trap and try again an infinite amount of times
