Star Wars did it a long time ago.
The final villain of the old canon was a female Celestial called Abeloth who got so corrupted by the dark side she turned into a psychotic Lovecraftian monster, pic related.
She was obsessed with being worshipped and loved by everyone, and with rebuilding the family that abandoned her eons ago.
The moment she faces Luke she decides that he is the perfect replacement for her husband and spends half the series trying desperately to make him fall for her, going as far as shapeshifting into Mara Jade.
After being told to fuck off by Luke a bunch of times she has a mental breakdown, goes full incel and decides that the best way to get her wish of having a new family is to wipe out the galaxy and recreate her in her ideal image.
