The Republic is dead, and we killed it.

In a system that incentivizes greed we've taken everything it could give. Wealth is on an inexorable march upward, and powers are collapsing into one centralized governance. This has been happening for a long time, but it's only now that they think us powerless that they are bold enough to stop hiding it.
The great plan worked to perfection. People are embarrassingly predictable at scale. You'd have to be brain dead to not see how easily manipulable we are with the right resources.

The damage is done. Even if Trump keels over today, it won't reverse the damage already done. Pandora's box has been opened, the cat's out of the bag. Nothing short of total obliteration of our current way of life will stop what's coming.
Prepare your buts. The next few decades are gonna be real.
