starting off with a low to mid tier team in one of the top leagues is easily the worst way to play on here to me

all the administrative work of dealing with loans and egos and reserve squads & U19s straight from the start without the war chest & cheese level players

far more fun to just start with a team in a shit tier league and gradually build up the administrative parts

just ranting while running 2 saves, one with Montpellier and one with 10th tier Wivenhoe, Wivenhoe goes like 10x faster and lets me see just absolute dog shit players cranking in world class crosses or delivering all time free kicks from 30 yards out
