A good while ago, someone had linked a /v/ thread in here, and a post someone had made was interesting cause it was wondering why Naruto games don't seem to do the wacky what-if's that DBZ games do, but my theory is that it's because compared to DBZ, Naruto's power system is genuinely much harder and way more fucked up to make an alternate story around, like DBZ's power system is very streamlined and there's a whole host of established ways to make surges in power in case something goes out of wack so that the alternate story is still plausible, but I feel like Naruto exists in a setting where even just shuffling jutsus around can cause a gigantic chain reaction of butterfly effects that makes it taxing to try to keep track of.
