“Should probably take my leave as well. But we'll talk more after the tournament.” you say to Mr. Popo, who nods once. You turn to Kars, addressing him next. “And let's not spread this around. No need to cause a panic.”
“Don't mention the entity beyond all understanding and reason to the irrational, foolish Kai? Why would I ever do something so foolhardy?” he replies, then grins. “Of course not. This conversation doesn't leave the Lookout.”
“Good. Now I'm gonna make sure our team's ready, don't need any last-minute surprises.” you say, turning and taking a couple jogging steps. Running to the end of the Lookout and leaping off, allowing yourself to fall through the sky. Letting this planet's weak gravity take you for a moment before changing course, flying over the land and sea as you reach out telepathically to your eldest-born son. “Everything work out Chilli?”

You think out to your son, feeling his mind connecting to your own as he answers.

“Dad? Yeah, it's going better than great! I think I fully figured out a countermeasure for Moro's ki drain.” he answers excitedly. “I've been working all night, but I think I figured it out! And it'll work just as well on anyone else who can passively absorb ki in the tournament too. And I have just under nineteen hours to spare!”
“Really? That's impressive, son.” you reply, genuinely proud. “But I was asking about how your recruiting went? Did you find a suitable backup wizard to aid you?”
“Oh, right. Yes. Had two, but we all came to an agreement and decided one was simply far better suited to this tournament's rules, while the other would stay behind and protect the world. Especially since killing isn't aloud.” he answers, you seeing a mental image of the slime that can turn itself into an androgynous humanoid, seeing it battling that skeleton wizard near his home. “And, to better battle Moro or those Zamasu, or whatever else, both have resistances to Time Magic as well.”

“Seems like your allies you've made are quite reliable.” you reply to him, smiling as you fly over the now-peaceful planet Marron calls home. Flying towards her powerlevel to the south, drawing near another city first. “Rest well, son. Everyone needs to be in top form for this tournament. Because everyone else certainly will be, we can't take any chances.”
“Don't worry about me, my stamina's not an issue.” he answers confidently, then perhaps feeling your care through the link adds. “However, some time to rest wouldn't be out-of-order. There is this one city I've heard about, Obsidim, a city of ash near a volcano that was rumored to house a strange power. So, perhaps we'll go by there and visit?”
