Riot's stance on this shit is so weird.
They're basically only concerned about bots and "hitch-hiking" (they've NEVER used this term before, very strange) but is essentially synonymous with boosting.
Basically, they see smurfing as one of two things.
>1. someone else is physically logged into your account and is playing games to artificially boost your rank
or
>2. you are duoing with someone much better who is carrying your games and you're riding their coattails
Both of which have been issues forever. They don't seem to think of smurfing like DOTA2 does as in
>i have made a new account to (so people say) learn a new role but since i'm just so much better than these newbies i win by mehanix and not necessarily because i'm trying to shitstomp i just know more
So this is okay in Riot's eyes, despite putting new players off.
Just fucking attach a phone number to accounts already this is getting so fucking stupid. If one account gets an action on it then ALL associated accounts get an action on it. Let people make 100+ accounts on a phone number who cares but start punishing these assholes who know they can just buy a new account for 3$ and go right back to the same shit. Attach a FUCKING NUMBER to a FUCKING PLAYER.
