At the start I made a short detour before heading as straight as I could towards the seal. But as I got close to the end, I needed some negative modifers on the overworld so I could get extra settlement distance as a reward for beating them. I had timed it out, calculated it. There were 3 opportunities before the seal and I just needed one of those fucking questionmarks to be a negative mod. Nope. Two positive and one world event. After finishing the settlement where a bat died, I was ready to atleast attempt the final seal anyways, but nope. World event. In the end, both of these things were my fault. I should not have let the Bat die, and I should not have dilly dallied at the start of the cycle. I had 3 original goals with this playthrough.
>beat the game without failing a settlement
>beat the game with no villagers dying
>beat the game without failing a single seal in progression
I failed 2/3 of these goals. Technically, I didn't fail at a seal, as I didn't lose the game ON the seal, but I was considering failing to reach it to begin with as a fail state. So now my game stats say
>100% win rate
But in my heart I know it's 99%
And that's why I've decided to canonically end this run here, with the Viceroy dissapearing into the curesd royal woodlands without a trace. The log unfinished, devolving over time into schizobabble as I just bulletpointed things and said fuck you to the game alot, only writing down the autistic technical side of things instead of an actual written story.
My previous full game run was a little similar. I made it close to the cobalt seal and I accidentally got 20 people killed in one village after destroying a firemoth hearth lol. That run ended canonically with the Viceroy becoming a firemoth himself, staring into the flames of the ruined Hearth. Anyways. I probably will not go back and finish these logs. I will probably play again and close the adamantine seal anyways, just so this run is "closed off" for good. But yeah. That's all folks
