You're not wrong. But the violence will still continue to escalate. I also wonder if there is some sort of symbolism in the fact that both died from wounds to the neck. Like the dark forces from hell are literally trying to silence us.
I'm not a very religious man but maybe praising God isn't such a bad idea.
