Latvia will provide at least €2 million for arms purchases for Ukraine under the PURL framework. Prime Minister Evika Siliņa announced this to reporters on Tuesday after a government meeting.
The PURL mechanism, jointly developed by the US Department of Defense and NATO, allows Alliance member states to fund the supply of American weapons through voluntary contributions. The Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden have already joined PURL.
