Most of my dreams are a blended 2D and 3D hodgepodge from my own FPS PoV so whether I am 2D or 3D is hard to say, but conflicts or reactions to missing dimensions dont come up and nobody in the dream notices or reacts to a 2D or 3D outsider. I am innately aware of the discrepancy in the dream and it might be what helps me retain control of the dream and make it a controllable or "lucid" dream. I don't know the phenomena or logistics of lucid dreaming, I bought and read Freud's book but it didn't help me.
It's rare but I have dreams of our world but with Nikkes in 3D that bear enough of a resemblance to be recognized even in dreams where I am not all-knowing. Not a fan of these ones personally and I don't like cosplayers IRL so there must be some bleed-through there. In these 3D real world dreams the characters tend to not act 1:1 with their defined character and their actions and intents and emotions are unpredictable and not inherently known to me.
