Yes it's a single speed and this is how my old sprocket looks like.

But I found a 7 speed hub gear from '93 with a newish looking sprocket so I wanted to check if I need to replace the other parts too

It's been my daily commuter for the last 5+ years or so and did a couple of 100km+ tours on it (though I must have replaced the chain a few times during this whole time) but still I hope you understand why I'm wary of those pseudo commies, exploited by society but having too much money for their bike
