Not really no.

To be on topic, Bobiverse books are a fun time and better than Malazan. It's mildly cringe/r*ddit for the first 15% of the first book then launches into semi-hard sci-fi. Tldr is that an engineer dude dies in accident, wakes up as von Neumann probe. Author is some sort of engineer/physicist type, so it's reasonably hard science, with a few macguffin hand waves. 5 books out but the first 3 form a coherent, complete story, the rest are just "wow this self published book was successful, guess I'll keep making money" (but also enjoyable).

It's Five Guys of /sffg/, nothing to compare to Wolfe or GGK but fun and not another "brooding anti-hero in grimdark setting"
