Somehow I have never realized that they seem to have an actual requirement that 6 million need to be sacrificed in order to do this.
Is this the actual reason why they get so upset by proof that it was nowhere near 6 million since it would imply that they are illegitimate by their own law? For years I previously assumed that they were inflating it as much as possible in and of itself as much as they could get away with it, and were just set on as much kvetching grievances as possible in and of itself. I guess they get that incidentally either way.
