You'd be wrong. Takes them for-fucking-ever to even notice shit, they're all a bunch of elderly people sitting around talking for hours on end. Shit has to make its way up the chain and odds are they didn't even know, and still don't know, he was out there talking shit. It's a bureaucracy the likes of which you cannot fathom.

Imagine how slow the regular-ass old government is to do shit. Look at how slow your city is to do shit, your state, and then the federal government. Well the Illuminati has agents at the federal level and a few select hot spots. It takes ages for them to hear about anything, then they gotta get clearance from somebody in charge who has to get clearance from somebody else who might be in an entire different country or fucking hemisphere, even they probably have to run it by somebody, and THEN they gotta decide whether or not to send a "message."

They're slow as hell. The Majestic 12 would've made sure shit never saw the light of day, but they were off the leash and off the rails before they got shut down or merged into an international force. Even they they managed to burn fucking everything in record time.
