Russians used to just lie cheat and steal and we always knew it so we just avoided them. Now they have massive disinformation operations, they murder by the thousands, they kidnap children and commit all sorts of war crimes. Russian arsonists have set fire to warehouses and defense industry sites in Germany and the UK. They've been caught trying to assassinate the CEO of Rheinmetall. They've shot down our unarmed drones over international waters is an act of war. They vandalized Estonian Interior Ministry vehicles and they've been caught planning terror attacks in Estonia.
While the rest of us are trying to build something in the world, self-loathing and destructive Russians are responsible for malware and ransomware attacks, telephone scams, cyberwarfare hacking, extortions, foreign assassinations, public poisonings, Olympics cheating, foreign invasions, false flag attacks, GPS jamming, disinformation campaigns and other criminal activity - not necessarily acts of war but certainly malevolent. Putin has threatened mass casualties from Russian nuclear strikes on Western capitols, threatened to cut transatlantic communications cables, threatened to destroy Western satellites in orbit - there's apparently no law or moral principle he won't break to seize and colonize Ukraine.
