The Old Testament believes in Sheol, an afterlife where ALL of us go, even God's chosen people lol. A dark, dusty gloomy place where humans cannot remember anything and just exist there for all eternity. Christians dismissed Sheol in the New Testament and replaced Sheol with Hell which pissed a lot of canonical Jews off and made up a place called Heaven where Jesus hangs out, BUT even if you did good in life and never believed that Jesus was the son of God, you are banished to HELL for all eternity
