>What is the "cull" some of you are talking about?
Some kind of bug/change with how the youtube algo is calculating ccv. Pretty much always happens when youtube tweaks something, usually gets fixed eventually. Saw something similar last year when youtube introduced more anti adblock measures. Image is what happened when youtube tried to add the Ai summary to chat, for a more extreme short lived case.
>Is it being applied equally to all of them?
No. It's mostly, perhaps exclusively, effecting NA or western audience this time. JP doesn't seem to be effected. These things generally tend to hit NA/western viewers harder since they are worth more ad revenue. There was one a year or two ago that seemed to hit SEA viewers, heavily tanked holoID and nijiENs viewers for 24 hours.
>Is it underrepresenting numbers or just the actual number all along?
Youtube always undercounts viewers, they are explicit about this even. To make advertisers happy.
