Serious question

Mare Fair *was* literally a pony convention. Ponies are feral with anthro traits horses. We're all furfags by technicality.
If the con just said "furries welcome as long as you bathe and don't ERP in the hotel lobby," would there even BE drama? I think all of this drama and backslash could have been avoided if the Mare Fair staff didn't enforce any rule targeting fursuiters, and furries in general in a stupid, childish pony purity crusade.

No other cons had issues with furries.
By the way the artist who sold hundreds of these decals at MareFair is a furry artist
