Is there anything more retarded than fighting a naval battle in One Piece? Think about it. You're literally standing on top of a free, giant target incapable of dodging. The average new world swordsman can slice through steel and wood easily with long distance slashes. Falling in the sea is literally a death sentence, if drowning doesn't kill you, the sea beasts will. There's a lot of paramecia and logia devil fruits capable of destroying ships or fucking the environment up. Seriously, a naval battle is a death sentence in this world unless you have plot armor. And what the fuck are the battleships supposed to do against a country with natural defenses like Wano's waterfall or Dressrossa's huge ass wall?
