>Originals are built on a strong aesthetic foundation where you see each of the movies build on top of it, setting an example people working on EU can follow
>Prequels bring in completely new aesthetic elements which get expanded upon by each of the installments, expanding the scope of material people in the EU can work with
>Sequels trample over EU and replace it with literal rehashed designs from OT
I remember pre-Disney Star Wars EU was seen as hit or miss with a lot of junk in it, but Disney somehow managed to make something worse than even the lamest things from the old EU are more palatable.
>Super duper Death Star that destroys FOUR PLANETS
>Star Destroyer... WITH A DICK CANNON
>AT-AT, but he monke
>Body positive Executor-class SSD
>Featuring the Ba-Sing-Se siege drill from Avatar: The Last Airbender
I don't even know what bullshit they had in the last film.
I am still mad about
>Jan Ors was a character in EU who helped get the plans of the Death Star? Oh wow, I didn't know that, but no, she has no relation to our new hero who was involved in getting the Death Star Plans, Jyn Erso
