I'd say that on top of being one of the most generic fantasy settings imaginable this is one of the series who does the "overpowered MC" the worst, Frieren and Saitama have this thing where they barely emote during most of the series (and the fights) so it is just plain boring to watch since you know they will always win and nothing really is a stake, the mangakas are just dragging the ever loving shit out of a premise past it's breaking point for profit, they have no idea what to do with the overpowered MC anymore to the point the mangas ended up shifting focus to other characters while sidelining the MC just so they can have something to write and more "fair fights", but even then you know the MC would show up and save the day if those characters are losing so they won't die, I think a good example of a overpowered character done right would be Adam Blade from Needless, he's ridiculously powerful but he always takes a HUGE beating before winning, he always struggles, he sometimes gets wounded by weaker enemies to the point of nearly dying because said enemies outsmarted him or caught him off guard but he always gets back up and wins in the end, the fact that he always struggles so much despite his power not only makes him more likeable it also help selling the idea that there are actual stakes, he had to make a huge sacrifice during his final fight and the manga knew when to end, that also helps, plus he emoted a lot unlike Frieren and Saitama
