While white men have had their pick throughout history (and now!) of Black and Brown women in colonial and post-colonial states, BIPOC women have not had their choice of white male in the dating market. This hoarding of white bodies is perpetuated both societally, in the form of the social attitudes that descend from colonialism and white imperialism regarding white beauty standards, and structurally, in the form of the institutions and practices that maintain the practice of the the inequitable distribution of white male bodies to historically disadvantaged women.
OP's post is an example of one structure of systemic racism that maintains the white male hegemony of white male bodyness in post-colonial states (as well as globally in the form of white economic imperialism), through reinforcing the social norms that led to this hoarding of white male bodies within the white community. Services like Tinder have the opportunity to address this historical injustice through facts-based ethical practices in dating, yet do not as a result of the very same structural racism that denies BIPOC women sexual freedom in the dating market.
In fact, the entire establishment of the dating market is a reflection of late-stage capitalism wielded to continue the generational hoarding of white bodies in the white community, thereby restricting the material freedom of BIPOC women in determining the race of their sexual partners. It is ONLY through equitable distribution of sexual opportunities that the present and historical injustices towards BIPOC women can be ameliorated and ultimately abolished.
Please. PLEASE. Don't perpetuate the systems of structural racism that oppress BIPOC women.
