Gonna disagree, I'm not a big fan of genshin's combat but teambuilding is easily the best thing about it. The universal system level mechanics that create synergies are interesting to play around. Yeah, systems with depth require more learning, but that's an argument for better tutorialization, not neutering the systems.

As developers end up deemphasizing system mechanics in favor of new shit exclusive to new characters they're trying to sell, it makes complexity worse... except in a lame way that's less interesting to play around and ALSO harder to learn because it's JUST for that character. That road leads to dark places.
