another thing worth saying for edit #100 is that the main things that upped my typesetting game were:
>manually reducing line spacing for my font of choice to a single pixel between the lowest letter and the highest letter (for my font of choice ["pally bold"], that is the lowercase "j" and "f", which i do exclusive lines of to determine the line spacing before starting on a caption)
>contextually aligning text to the left or right, to minimize potentially overlapping points of interest
>manually shortening lines to produce aesthetically-pleasing patterns, and to minimize overlapping points of interest
had i had the sauce since the beginning, my captions would've been super good from the start. other stuff like converting the aspect ratio for standardizing font size is just OCD stuff that i'm sure other caption makers wouldn't necessarily care for
