I have already made it clear that I have not liked the direction of Genshin's story for a long time. The first 3 nations were a good story told poorly. The second 3 nations were a bad story told poorly. There have been moments of passable/good story sprinkled throughout, like Sumeru 1 and Fontaine 1, but overall the story has been on the downward trend since version 1.2.
That I don't like a story does not mean that I don't understand the story. Plenty of people understand the story of, say, Game of Thrones (because it's a simple story for babies and retards) but that doesn't mean everyone who understands it likes it. It's like Genshin: "good in the beginning and then falls off a cliff."
>it's about finding out the mystery
What mystery? We already know clearly why the sibling won't come back with us, and we've known for ages. Sure, we don't -know- definitively which of the factions that the sibling has the biggest beef with, especially since they can freely add factions whenever youtubers get too close and ruin the surprise, but the core idea of "the sibling won't join our side until we know the faction they're fighting" has been plain as day since the first Dainslief chapter.
This is not some gripping mystery that needs a whole extra book inserted before the climax of the story. It's just going to be another "oh, that's what it was" moment, like Focalors killing herself. Pure hollow drama.
