For power/speed metal, try the first two Blind Guardian albums. They're almost a bit thrashy, just with more melody and cleaner vocals.
For heavy metal you may have missed, I really like Raven's Rock Until You Drop. Listen to the song Hell Patrol if nothing else. Also Motörhead if you somehow haven't heard an album. Try one of the No Sleep live albums.
For non-power speed metal, Anthem's Domestic Booty is cool, as is Steel Fury's Lesser of Two Evils.
Speed metal IS a bit of a nebulous in-between genre of heavy/thrash/power metal, so I get your confusion.

You think about me all day, which sounds kinda gay if you ask me.

Scum's a bad album, IF you expect proper songs from it. 30+ minutes of badly produced microsong grind is a big ask. It almost makes more sense as a noisecore album.
Maybe listen to their Peel Sessions for the better production, and treat each session separately.
