You do just that. Leomon takes up the vanguard, his sheer aura repelling any Rookie Digimon in his wake. It comes to an end once a creature of equal stature bursts out of a partition midway, interposing itself between you and the exit.
GORIMON- CHAMPION- BEAST MAN- DATA
"We have no quarrel with you. Let us pass, and-"
"OOH OOH AAH AAH!"
He raises an arm to swing at Leomon's face. The lion leans away from it and returns with a flurry of blows, pinning Gorimon against the wall. Its arm cannon lights up, rising to point at your party. Rather than countering it with some martial technique, Leomon lunges forward and clamps down with his jaws, wrenching the cannon into the ceiling with his powerful neck muscles. The blast hits the wall, causing voxels to rain down.
"GO!" He yells between clenched teeth, as you all slide past the frenzied pair.
"NO! LEOMON!"
Phascomon turns back to watch. You feel his claws tighten against your head. He wants to help, but you're not sure if you can afford it.
>Keep running. Don't look back. This isn't a heroic sacrifice, it's a practical choice. Your Digimon don't have VPNs, Leomon can catch up afterwards without being tagged by the city. You're not actually dooming to certain death, you're just leaving him to deal with the uncertainty of the partition. If he's strong enough, he has fair odds.
>Let Phascomon go. You trust your partner enough to help out. Maybe he can turn the tide if he joins Leomon. However, this will leave you vulnerable while escaping. And he might come back injured.
>Stop and fight. You have the confidence that you can quickly end Gorimon if Phascomon joins the fight, AND you come up with some .apps to use on him. You're willing to consume the last bits of freeze code here. This will badly risk your own VPN time, and is a gamble on how much offensive output you can dish out.
