I got into One Piece when Punk Hazard was ongoing and caught up to the manga on Law’s flashback in Dressrosa. WCI made me love Carrot when I was indifferent to her, though I don’t consider her a waifu at all.

I was open to Yamato joining just because having a strong female fighter seemed like a fresh idea, and she was allowed to be goofy, but it never happened. Lilith also had a few moments that you could totally see as hints for joining the Straw Hats, but I’ve been doubtful and was unfortunately proven right.
