yeah theres was to get trinkets just like there was always ways to get buddies they just phases it out and made it not guaranteed and id say youd generally wanna be consistent on upgrading tavern i brutally lost a game cus i focused to much on buffing and building my board where i was in first for a bit then fell off also idk if u know but its common place to go lvl 2 on round 2 id say only on rare occasions u can avoid that
