Right away, the standards were lowered and lowered and then lowered even more. Now we are at the point of "Little Timmy and Lil' Tyrone can't read? Oh well, just pass them along." When asked if that is a good idea, they will start to spout college words at you and explain why it's harmful to hold kids back a grade.
