Genshin would be a good alternative, though I would recommend playing it only until you finish Liyue. Anything afteward will have diminishing returns when it comes to reading and enjoying the story. Eventually you will be reading text that amount to an entire Harry Potter book except the amount of info you actually get it just half of chapter 1 of the book because it was written with filler and text bloat.

Honkai: Star Rail is among the best game I played during its launch. The sad part is it went absolutely downhill after they hired Shaoji to write the story. So I only recommend playing it until you finish Belobog. Anything after that is just a nightmare to go through. The gameplay is nice and you can literally AUTO all battles if you build your characters properly.
NIKKE is very good. I love the story and characters. I'm still playing it now, but leveling is absolute garbage. Unlike other games where you level up each character to 90 and then you can do the rest of the game with those characters. In NIKKE, the level cap keeps increasing each patch, and the latest story will require you to be in that level range to meet the power requirement. So you will be stuck leveling for months and never being able to catch up to the other players. Don't judge it too early for having ass and tits, because the story is pretty good and the MC is very relatable.

Just treat each chapter as 1 short game with a good story like MGR or RE4. You don't have to force yourself to keep playing.
