>Any creeps around you during that time?

I'm a 50 year old boomer so this was well before the days of photoshop to fix mistakes. If any detail was missed in a picture and an editor caught it later, you go back to reshoot. So EVERYTHING is thoroughly looked over. When you see pictures like the OP and it's made to look casual, understand that every part of that girls look and pose has been directed by an adult who knows exactly what impression she wants to give, but the child themselves will not understand.

As for creeps, it was well known (especially around jewish photographers) that if you care about your children, you never leave them alone with adults. So my mom was always with me, but we definitely heard about how the industry works. To escape small time photoshoots and have a chance to audition for the bigger modeling agencies, your parents would have to whore you out to the gatekeepers. It happened and it still happens to this day, and everyone knows about it. But with loving parents, they will never let you be alone with these pedos.
