Open relationship you're in what people would describe as a standard relationship, you're just allowed to hook up outside of that partner within pre-set boundaries and respecting communication etc. Anything further romantically is what pushes that into potential Poly territory, which is where it gets messy.

You can be in a full-time relationship and still fuck friends as long as it goes no further into romance and everyone is aware of the boundaries.
