I myself am not a Nazi, quite the opposite actually.
To be honest, I wasn't thrilled when I heard Zimper would be playing live on stage.
I like Cold Earth musically (Luror too, btw), but I probably would have watched them with an uncomfortable feeling, if at all.
That being said, from my perspective, the whole thing was a huge rat move by both bands
(I unfortunately don't know exactly which despicable individual is responsible).
Wanting to hit Bartholomäus right where it hurts, solely out of arrogance, political over-identification, and an inability to tolerate ambiguity, and thereby jeopardizing a wonderful, unique festival that is an annual ritual for the attendees, something they passionately participate in, is simply shameful.
Even from a left-wing perspective, it was idiotic. They made the whole thing MUCH bigger than it actually was and, in doing so, created an intense show of solidarity with Zimper (who ultimately wasn't allowed to perform because of the whole affair).
They actively pushed this extreme but apolitical festival in a certain direction and tempted bands to issue statements of solidarity that would otherwise never have been made.
tl;dr Fuck Pakkt and Hexer. I wish them the worst.
