"The sewers can get rowdy, I'm sure you know. Where exactly are we, Liza?"

You try to look for a map, but everything is scrambled. You must still be in the zone where Squid's jamming is effective. There's a buffer area around the base, it seems. You let go of Liza's hand, but walk at her pace, making sure she knows that you're right here beside her, for whatever support you can muster.

"We're far from the tower." She sniffles. "This was an old... I don't remember. Some kind of station they ditched."

You compare your current spot with the mapdata that you once used to navigate the sewers. There's absolutely nothing, you'll just have to find a teleportation booth all by yourself. The air feels lively, like it's missing the sort of oppressive miasma that hung over the canals the last time. You stroll past pipes and concrete, recalling what you learnt the last time. The whole place has been terraformed by Digimon into a form unrecognizable from its original state of blank polygons.

"I guess we just keep walking and charting. Don't you have a map? The base is right there."

"No. Wind was-" Even mentioning his name causes her to choke up. It takes her a few moments to spit the rest out. "-he was insistent we went up to the surface, then found a different way down to train. No exiting the-the base. Safer."

"Makes sense... The longer that wall stays up, the better."

"And we can't go back and ask them for maps." You remark.

You send Squid a request for the nearest teleportation booth, but she doesn't view your message. She must be busy with other preparations, and you expect that she can't get back to you so soon. You keep walking.

"You said you didn't have anything left. Don't you have an assigned home?"

"I abandoned it to come stay here with them."

"Can't you apply for one again?"

"She can, but the bots could ask questions. That could bust her real quick." You respond.

"I don't know what I'm going to do up there... All alone, it's too much."

You wonder for a second if Doc would be willing to help, but you know that he's already dealing with too much. Especially with the loss of his workshop. You don't want to impose. However, the district has plenty of squatters already. You let her know about the place, as well as several more such areas. She seems a little less despaired after you give her the list of addresses.

"How do you know all this?"

"I spent all my time outside before meeting Phascomon. Got to know what the undercity was like. What about you? What did you do before this?"
