Calm almost expressionless poses, typical model poses, shamelessly lewd poses, they all have their value. It depends on the scenario.

It must be temporary. It can be a very long temporary, but I don't want to kill or ruin the lives of girls turned into statues. I lean towards consensual, but that doesn't matter as much as the vibe. A petrified statue should show it's "material" in it's best light and be placed where it can be ogled with no protection. Now what that means can change from scenario to scenario. Hot girls showing off their naked bodies obviously, but also brave knights frozen above a plaque listing their heroics, and similar scenarios that enhance the value of the statue beyond just it's body.
I enjoy scenarios where the character sees it as a momentary humiliation. I love scenarios where a character takes a strange pride in their petrification. Hypnosis isn't strictly necessary, but I do like it.
