Thought experiment. At what point does a heap of sand stop being a heap of sand? If there’s a pile of sand big enough to be a heap, and I remove one grain of sand at a time one by one, at some point when I remove another grain it would stop being a heap right? But does that mean if I put that one piece back with the others it becomes a heap again? Well that would be absurd because it barely grows the size.
