Yeah, I like it when its done well and at least somewhat credibly. I was pleasantly surprised by one like that that seemed lesser known called "Creep" (2014). The script and characters are brilliantly written, and the end is kind of mind blowing, because of the characters. I do recommend.

Definitely creative. Reminds me of an unpleasant anecdote involving a dead body and a worm but its not really the time to talk about it.

Speaking of spooky worms, I keep recommending this gay Halloween short film.

"Bugcrush" (2006) -

Its supposed to be an allegory about how people get pulled into uncontrollable situations through seemingly innocent decisions that lead to infection.

No jump scares but kind of spooky. (36 minutes). To be fair, its about 3/5. A little mis-cast.

>Skinamarink is so boring. Everyone is like "it gives you scary vibes of your childhood" and "symbolism"

I kinda think it was made to create arguments about it. It had talent but was wasted in weak af storyboarding and concept/story development. It just ends up being footage of nothing. It also wears out its own gimmick.
