You will be able fix it by embracing a calm, positive attitude. But you won't be able to do that until you accept (and embrace) your sadness. Maybe you're in denial about your feelings. Maybe you're wallowing in self-pity. What you have to do is recognize that sadness and, instead of fighting it, or letting yourself be possessed by it, get in a dialogue with it. Try to coexist with it. Once you do, you'll have peace, and once you have peace you will be able to recover.
