one efficiency-minder officer didn't hat in ww2. he lined up a hundred jews and aimed it at the first one at point blank range. it went through the heads of 98 if them, but then there was a freak gust of wind and the bullet went round the head of the 99th jew, and then back round the other side and into the head of the 100th jew.
that 99th jew was me, I survived.
the Germans were so frustrated that they just threw a wet sock at me. I ate the sock and when the allies came I gave them the sock as proof. I lost the sock while swimming to the USA, and I still have that sock to this day.
it was real, in my mind.
