Worlds really was everything you could have wanted and any failures, of which there are like two things people constantly bring up (difficulty or QoL or build diversity), were something that could be handwaved away because it was an exploratory game that saved the franchise or were later fixed in Iceborne. Anyone that doesn't like Worlds can't into fun and wants a handheld MonHun at 20fps where you have to postage stamp your attacks to Capcom and then wait a week for them to reply in the mail if your attack hit or not.
Wilds was kind of boring. The story was terrible for how much writing and cutscenes they put into it, and the world feels a little lifeless when they could have added different things to do in it. I don't know if they've fixed this but every native inhabitant settlement you go to is lifeless and useless. They should have removed all the Guild encampments in the game and left native villages as your hubs with cool interesting characters and shops. The game still to this day runs like shit.
