i watched this this morning and got 10 minutes in before tapping out. i saw a youtube short of it and thought it might be interesting despite the red flag art style. that's what i get for being open minded.

Its weird, I loved every episode but the last. I didnt hate the last episode, it was still good, but I felt like it lacked the really solid pacing, visuals, theming, and diologue that the other episodes did. anyone else kind of disappointed in the resolution like me?

Maybe disapointed is the wrong word, cause I didnt think it was bad nor the plot, it just didnt live up to the same level as the other episodes.

So this show is blatantly woke as fuck, right? It’s arguably more woke than most of the stuff I see get paired with that label yet it’s well liked by the people who yell “woke” at everything and I don’t understand it.

The wokeness in this doesn’t feel different to me than the wokeness in other properties like the Star Wars sequels, I’d argue it’s even more heavy here in places. I’ve even seen people who decry anything woke straight up say this show isnt woke at all, and that’s just complete shite.

I’m saying this as someone who actively doesn’t mind woke stuff in media by the way, I’m just confused as to why a show so blantanty woke is seemingly accepted by the anti-woke crowd, the same people who use woke as a pejorative for bad.
