Turkey is very cool for an islamic country. I think you are overreacting anon. Ive been there and its not so bad. The prices are great, the place is clean, doesnt look islamic at all, the young people look European and dress well.
The food is top 3 in the world and you have nice cold efes beer everywhere to go with it.
