I started enjoying these games a lot once I stopped caring about the shitty daily grind for 1/3 of a pull, and about clearing the event stores and getting all the rewards.
I just play the games when they get new content, and use whatever currency I get to pull for characters I like. It's so much better when you treat them like single-player games, and just ignore the gacha side of them completely.
Still won't be touching auto-battlers and jpg collectors. Those are just slot machines.
